Haewoori Offshore Wind collaborates with local fishing community in Ulsan in releasing 120,000 abalone seeds

As part of its ESG initiative, Haewoori Offshore Wind launched an abalone seeding campaign, attended by its employees, Haenyeo (women divers) and fishermen in the Ulsan region. Haewoori Offshore Wind provided a total of 120,000 healthy abalone seeds measuring approximately 4.5cm each and tested free from infectious diseases to contribute to creating a more abundant ocean and promoting the local fishery industry.

Founded by CIP/COP Korea (Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, Copenhagen Offshore Partners Korea), the world’s leading green investment fund and developer of offshore wind power, Haewoori Offshore Wind has obtained an EBL for the offshore wind business and currently developing three floating projects with respective capacity of 520MW, 520MW and 518MW. 
April 17, 2023—Haewoori Offshore Wind (CIP/COP), which undertakes floating offshore wind power projects totaling 1.5GW off the east cost of Ulsan, announced on April 15 that it has released 120,000 baby abalone into the wild in collaboration with local fishing community in Ulsan to enrich the fishery resources of the region and promote the local fishing economy.
